Underpinning all her work is Margot's lifelong interest is neuroscience. Julie is passionate about supporting children and young people to be the best they can be helping them to remove the barriers preventing full engagement in life and learning. Julie divides her time between working at the chalkface in both a practical and advisory capacity, with training, supporting and challenging schools to embed and develop their trauma informed practice. My training in Psychotherapy helped me to begin to refine my understanding about how we could begin to meet the needs of traumatised children more effectively. I was part of a team of 4 who created Thrive,, a project aiming to help adults meet the emotional developmental needs of children and young people.
Currently I am delighted to be part of the inspirational TISUK project because it aims to fundamentally change the life trajectory of children and young people who are in pain.
